The Greatest Man I Never Knew

My Grandpa died last week. I don't really know much about my grandpa. We were never really close. Not because I didn't want to be, or because something happened, we just... weren't. What I do know about my grandpa is that he married one of the most amazing people who ever lived. My Grandma was as close to perfect as it gets. Another thing I know about my grandpa is that he liked pork rinds. Usually on Sundays we would visit my grandma. My grandpa spent pretty much the whole time sitting at the edge of his bed back in his room reading the newspaper eating pork rinds. Sometimes my sister Lindsay and I would get really daring and go into his room to say hello. He'd always offer us a snack and at the time we didn't know what pork rinds were, we were just happy to share something with Grandpa. The thing I will always remember the most about my grandpa is that no matter what, he always came out of his room at the end of a visit to give us a hug goodbye. He would hold us long and tight and say "I'm going to squeeze the juice outta ya!" I'm sad I don't know more about my grandpa but what I know for sure is that I'm grateful for the man he was and I know he was a great man because he raised a man like my father.
Today is my dad's birthday. It happens to be the same day my grandpa was buried. My dad dedicated his fathers grave on his own birthday. Everything my dad said about my grandpa is how I would describe my dad. I can't even put into words how I feel about my dad. I respect and love him more than he will ever know. He is kind, loving, generous, and everything in between.
I would like to thank my grandpa for giving me such a wonderful father to celebrate today.

Fun at Grandmas Birthday

It was Grandma Farr's birthday a few weeks ago so we brought over dinner to her house. It was so nice to have a chance to visit and watch Boston play with his Grandma and Uncle Isaac. While we were there, Isaac gave Boss a mini Boston sized football and that little ball got him all riled up! He was going crazy. He's lucky to have such a cool Uncle! Boston loves watching football and playing catch with his Grandma. How many guys can actually say they do that with their Grandmas?

Happy Birthday MOM! We love you!

Boston has the Coolest Hair

Well... at least his Dad thinks so. Occasionally, Kimberly will ask me to go upstairs and fix Bostons hair before we head out the door. This was one of mine and Boston's hair creations! ***note from mommy... We did NOT leave the house like this!!!***

Halloween 2008 Pictures

I just wanted to post a few pics of our first Halloween with Boston. We went through a few different costumes but we eventually found one that he didn't completely hate wearing. He was a ferocious dinosaur! Well, at least he thought he was. He chased people around growling with his dinosaur tail wagging in the air.

Boss and Mom started the day off visiting dad at work. We had pizza and Halloween treats with a few of the other co-workers little kids. They were SO cute! Boss loves being around other little kids and because we don't have a lot in the family, we try to take advantage of kid time when we can. He loved chasing around the cutest Mini Lexi Mouse and I think she liked being chased. Such a girl!

Boston and Dad at work

Later we visited Mom's work to see the girls. They love Boston there and he's actually quite the ladies man. He loves the salon!

After a much needed nap we went to the Trunk or Treat in Grandma and Papa's neighborhood with Aunt Linny, Grandma, Papa, and some cousins. As soon as we got to the church, Papa took off with Boss. Papa LOVES showing off his little buddy. I think he was also sneaking Boss some treats, you have to keep and eye on those two partners in crime! Papa took him to meet Elmo and Boston went nuts. He is such an Elmo fan.

Aunt Sammy and Ashton came by later that night to visit and bring Boston his first 4 wheeler. She loves spoiling her "Wittle B"! He's lucky to have her. He loves that thing. He's starting to try tricks on it. I'm not joking! He seriously tries to ride it standing on top if it. He also tries to pop wheelies. I know it may sound strange for a kid under a year old who doesn't walk, but it's the truth!

It was an awesome day and we had a great time with little Boss man!
